Safe to Dye Clear Liq702?

Postby cerealkeller » Fri Sep 08, 2017 11:18 am

I filled my loops with the clear Koolance Liq702. I've found that with clear tubing and clear coolant it looks rather bland in what is otherwise a spectacular build. In the past, I have recall seeing on Koolance's website that dying wasn't recommended. But can't remember what specifically that pertained to. So, question is, can I dye my clear LIQ702 safely, without harming the effectiveness of it?

This is probably what you remember

"Koolance's product warranty does not cover the use of 3rd-party coolants, coolant additives, or corrosion"

a dye would be a additive. Usually your OK but staining can occur.

Also pulling up the materials safety data sheet

Besides distilled water the main ingredient is Propylene glycol and you need to ensure compatibility first before adding anything.
