EX2-1055 Temperature Channels Switched?

Postby jasonvp » Thu Feb 13, 2014 8:56 am

Hey folks -

I just installed my new EX2-1055, and found an interesting problem. It seems like the temperature sensor channels 1 and 3 are reversed, for some reason. If I connect a sensor to channel 1 on the slot adapter, the main unit sees it on channel 3. Likewise, if I connect that same sensor to channel 3 on the slot adapter, the unit sees it on channel 1. Channel 2 is seen as channel 2.

Has anyone seen that before? I assume that as long as I keep a sensor connected to channel 3 on the slot adapter, that the entire system will run fine. The unit thinks it's actually channel 1, and it appears to make the appropriate adjustments to the fan speeds as the temps rise.

Any ideas or thoughts?

Thanks!

The circuits on the board could be reversed, things like that happen during production. As long as it's not causing any other issues I wouldn't worry about it that much.
