You really need to do something with the photos, scale them down or post thumbnails. You can only see a small part of the system. Nothing of the insides.

Bambihunter,
Thanks for the CF2 pic's. Now I'm seeing a problem on the placement of the NB/SB blocks with my dual board 295's. Refresh my memory is the NB the plate just below the CPU or the one in between the three PCI-E slots?

Sorry for the double post. Bambihunter are you using a pair of 125's for both the NB and the SB? If so that explains where my problem would be if what I saw was your bridge plates...

Yep, I knew that right after I posted that (thus my edit at the top of the original post). My pictures usually scale most other places I go, I don't know why they don't here on the Koolance forums. I see they also still haven't fixed the long post bouncing while typing issue either.

Dayeo78, I added another close-up of the northbridge area. I was using the CHC-125's but one of them started to leak internally so I swapped them out for CHC-122's I think.
On the CHII, the NB chipset is between the first PCI-E x16 slot and the CPU. The SB chipset is the one that is right in the way if you want to use the middle PCI-E x16 slot. If a person wanted to do tri-sli with this setup, I would recommend finding a passive NB cooler of an older Nvidia board and using it for the SB. If I remember right, the SB on this series puts out at a max of 12watts of heat. Instead of doing that though, the best thing would be just use a pair of GTX295's for quad-SLI (like it sounds like you are using).
If I didn't have to go out the back of the PC for the power supply tubing I think I would remove the waterblock now because I really would like to add another video card for more folding power. This rig right now is making above 9k ppd for each GTX280 and between 4k and 5k ppd depending on the WU.
When the GTX300 series comes out I might move these two GTX280's to my PC3-720 and get a pair of the new ones if they are as good as everyone claims.

Thanks again bambihunter, going to try the CHC-120-V06 for the SB and hopefully that clear the primary GPU. If everything goes to plan I'll have my pictures here next month to join the ranks.

Your primary GPU is not the problem, neither is GPU2 (which is the 3rd physical slot). The problem is the middle PCI-e x16 slot (which is the one you would use for your 3rd GPU - I know, they should be in order but they are not).
So to clarify, if you are running two or fewer PCI-e x16 video cards you will be fine with any southbridge chipset block. The problem only arises when you want to put in the 3rd card. If I were to build my system right now, I would put in a pair of GTX295's (for quad-sli using only 2 slots).

Thought I'd join in and show off some of my rig. This is build was my first build ever and over the years it has been remodeled I don't know how many times.

I have plans over the weekend to install an INS-FM17 and Thermal Control Board. I recently added some new parts and redesigned my loop hoping for better temps and a stronger flow rate. I'll post my stats on that project sometime next week.
