How do I open my Exos EX2 to replace the pump?

Postby andrewkantor » Wed May 11, 2016 8:07 am

So my replacement pump for my Exos EX2-755 arrives today, but I can't find instructions for opening the unit to do the replacement. Are there any instructions online?

I started by removing the eight obvious screws on the top, but that doesn't appear to actually loosen anything! (Could it be stuck shut after four years? I didn't want to start prying without knowing where to pry.)

If anyone can help show me how to open the Exos, I'll be on my way to a fresh new pump. Thanks!

The screws on top hold the shroud, rad, and fans. You should re-tighten those before opening the unit. Then flip the Exos upside-down and remove all of the bottom panel screws, including the few on the back side for that panel. This will give you access to the reservoir/pump.
