The best looping ways

Postby bellydaniel » Wed Sep 17, 2008 7:56 pm

May i know the best looping direction from pump for example my System configuration with
radiator->reservoir->Pump-> CPU-> North bridge-> South bridge-> Ram-> GPU-> HardDisk
radiator with one 120x1 and two 240x2 on
how to set up the best direction to provide most efective cooling performance.
thanks . :|

This is just a basic configuration and by no means standard. Pump/Radiator/CPU/MB/Video/HD/reservoir/Back to pump. Main idea is to cool off the higher temp blocks first i.e. (over clocked CPU). One thing I do recommend is to keep the reservoir/pump/radiator configuration regardless of what cooling block setup you choose.

The heat generated by a pump is almost negligible in most cases, so it is more common to see rad/res/pump. This in theory can also increase the life of the pump by reducing the sitting temperate of res and the water going through the pump.

In the end it is all about routing though if you have to cross your case to go back and forth to components your adding extra hose which is a waste. On top of that you also need to consider the fact that if your coming from a pump with 10mm or 13mm hosing that you can always split into 6mm hosing to improve your pathing especially to smaller components like your sb/nb and ram.
