Fitting/Cooler compatibility

Postby ShadowHawk412 » Sun Jul 13, 2014 12:25 pm

Hi, I'm planning to use the EX-755(Exos-2 V2) which is made from aluminium with the black compression fittings which are made from brass. Now i've read somewhere that you shouldn't mix these two metals in the same loop so with that said will I have to go with the nickel-plated silver like one or what?

Coated metals are safe, it is typically only a concern with raw metals. When liquid cooling it is also really only a concern with copper + aluminum. There is a lot of brass out there that isn't really of concern.

It's mainly for radiators that you don't want to mix those metals and some video card blocks have bare copper in them which will be a problem if you mixed them.
