yeah i think i will, i have been conserned about the cooling of my loops so i will definatly install this into my build, do you know the dimensions of the EXC-800. I had a look but all i found was its useage specs.

on a different note i feel that when i come up with the money more stuff will be available to use like a more powerful CPU or gaming MOBO and even the new samsung 32 GB RAM sticks for the server :D.

You could wait until next year when the PCIe 4.0 boards come out along with some new intel chips with what I was reading. The boards are suppose to double the speed that they are currently running now. If you pick up one of those you will be set for a long time, you're still set for a while with the stuff you want to get now lol.

damn that sounds great, i'll get one of them then, defiantly worth the wait with tech like that :)

The full dimensions are listed in the following PDF.

Also I have a hard time believing that it will actually double speeds (at least CPU speeds) moores law even after all of these years has been surprisingly close. And every time you wait for something there is always something else in the pipeline. If something is coming out in a month or two I might wait for it but when it is quarters away then you need to expect delays.

thanks Izerous ^_^

i did some research, it has double the bandwidth but I don't think that means double the speed, still looks good though in my opinion

It won't double the CPU speed just the bandwidth for the PCIe slots and a few other parts on the boards. Very little are being done with the CPUs they are getting smaller and faster which is a good thing. PCIe 3.0 has barely been out and 4.0 will start to roll out soon and the new AMD cards are supporting PCIe 4.0 which will be nice. The question is though will koolance make blocks for the card, I'm surprised they skipped out on the 7990 that would've been one nice looking block.

i agree about the block, the 7990 did have a cool look that would have been amplified by the cooling block and the colored liquid going in and out through glowing tubes :)

im interested about the size of the cooling block, if it fits in the same slot as the GPU making it one slot big should i modify the GPUs brace to allow for another card to sit next to it, i just want to get a sound card in with my 4 GPUs but there isnt any space.

You may have to cut one of the braces to fit the sound card otherwise it will not fit. I have my ZxR right under my 6990 with the brace vent on the card and its still a very tight fit. If you manage to get it to fit you may have to keep the fittings on top of the block so they do not interfere with the sound card. What type of sound card do you plan on getting?

a ZxR like yours with a evo ZxR headset, in the MOBO there is a Core3D audio processor that has the same specs as the recon3D Fatality Professional APU so if I chicken out I will still get good sound.
