Hi,
I have problem installing Koolance 380I cpu waterblock to ASUS Maximus VI Formula. The backplate doesn't seem to fit. When I'm trying to install it, the rubbish insulation pad is interfered by some capacitor contacts on the north side of the socket as well as some microchips and more contacts on the east side. Should I just cut off some of this rubbish pad to make it fit or is there any other less invasive way to install it?
Thanks

How did this work out? Thinking about buying this mobo and wonder what you found.

The rubber pad should not be in contact with anything behind the board and by looking at the board there are no capacitors or chips behind it. The rubber pad and mounting kit should go behind the board.
