I'm currently building my PC.
How do i install 380I on intel socket 2011?
Do i need to use 4 or 8 O rings? I think it's just 4, which is mounted on top of the block (resting against the metal).
And how do you mount the 4 long screws? Do you screw the short threaded part on the motherboard from above? You don't need any access whatsoever to the mobo from behind?

The parts that come with the 380i should come with instructions. You should not be using any o rings instead you should be using washers that came with the 380i. The long screws get screwed onto the backplate which is then inserted behind the board along with the rubber padding to prevent and metal contact. All the instructions are included in the box if not here is the link and click the file tab:

http://koolance.com/cpu-380i-processor-water-block

Make sure you go step by step, the instructions are very easy to go by just double check everything when finished.

The instructions aren't for LGA 2011.
The installation procedure is completely different with LGA 2011, you don't mount any backplate or rubber padding whatsoever since it already has a backplate built in.
But i think i know now how to install it.

I'm gonna hijack this thread.

I have my 380 mounted differently than in the pic in the manual. The Koolance logo is on the right instead of the left. The tubing is going to the correct port. Basically it's upside down from the block in the picture. Will that affect my performance?

It won't affect the performance much as long as out got the tubing in the right spots you won't have a problem.
