CPU-360 on LGA 2011

Postby Speedway » Sun Feb 16, 2014 12:09 pm

I am thinking about upgrading from the 2600K on LGA 1155 to the 3930K on the LGA 2011 platform. I didn't have any issues going from 1366 to 1155, but I am wondering if my CPU-360 will have any installation issues on an LGA 2011 mobo or cpu? Has anyone used a CPU-360 on 2011? If so did you have to do any modding or does the block fit without any issues? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

May want to contact Koolance I believe the 360 is only made up to LGA 1366 but they have post screws that are compatible for the 360 that will fit on the 2011 boards. Best to contact them first, if you don't want to go through that hassle the 380 is a well deserved upgrade.

Thanks for the reply. The 360 has been working great on my 2600K on the 1155 platform. When I went from 1366 to 1155, I didn't run into any issues. I was just wondering if anyone had used the 360 on the 2011 platform, notably the 3930K? Does the block cover the chip well and was the mount an easy fit or is there additional hardware needed.

Browsing through accessories etc on the website I did come across this.

LGA-2011 Mounting Posts for CPU-360/370

Based on this product it looks like if you have a fixed back plate on the 2011 board you just need this screw set to make it work. I would still contact Koolance directly as Ace suggested to make sure that is all you need.
