Full Block for Asus Rampage IV Extreme

Full Block for Asus Rampage IV Extreme

is a new design, the black part on the Water Block?

not need Waterblock on MOS to the left of the motherboard?

Yeah i was also wondering about that.

Because the motherboard has 4 heat sinks and the waterblock only cools 3 out of 4.

What happens to the 4th one?

On the normal motherboard there is a headpipe from the left one to the top one.

What happens to that?

I do have to say, i really like the waterblocks for that motherboard :D

I just looked at the blocks for EK and they also do not have a block for that section. If 2 manufacturers are leaving that section off, I suppose it is ok. I'm more concerned with how I'm going to properly route all the tubing to make it look neat and clean. Just look at how close all the thread holes are along with picturing the CPU Block in the middle.

What I like about the Koolance block though is that they have that big black clear section for the X79 chip area. The R4E comes with a a nice transparent sticker with the ROG icon in silver that you can put on that block. I can't wait to put it all together when I get all my hardware delivered!

There are no components there. It's just a sink for the heat pipe, so there was no need to run water there.

Know i don't have to wurry about the component there posible overheating.
