MVR-100 x58 classified screw holes not straight

Postby Marshie » Thu Aug 20, 2009 9:54 pm

So I'm helping a mate build his new water cooling setup. The MVR-100 bottom screw holes does not seem straight and I cant screw it all the way in. The top holes are fine but since I'm connecting it to the heat plate they are not being used. Anyone else have this problem?

I don't want to ruin the threads on the screws or the MVR-100 so I have not forced the screws in yet. Should I?

Does this problem mean the MVR-100 has to be RMA?

I had the same problem. I don't think they are tapped very well. I tried using pliers to "encourage" the screws to go in which didn't seem to work at first but then I aligned the screws very carefully by hand and they eventually went in easily.
