PMP-450/S input?

Hey there folks. I'm planning on getting the Koolance COV-RP450 for my D5 pump and I'm a little confused about the pump input. I plan on getting one of the 120mm res tubes and a tube cap so I have a tall tube res mounted on top of the pump. My question is, with the res tube installed, do I use the side-input on the COV-RP450S to feed the coolant into the pump, or do I have to use a TNK-CNTG res coupler w/ nozzle sockets to feed the coolant to the pump? I would greatly appreciate some feedback on this as I plan to order soon. Thanks!

you will use the inlet and outlet on the side of the COV-RP450. Every thing you need is included with it except nozzles.

Thats great to hear! I'm just a little worry about bleeding the watercooling system though. Wouldn't the air bubbles just get sucked directly back into the pump before they had a chance to escape in the res? Perhaps setting the D5 pump at its lowest setting will help the situation.

The reservoir has a divider plate in it and is designed to remove air bubbles from the system. I believe Laing makes the Koolance 450 and 450s pump. I do not know for sure, I have not looked at the D-5 specs, but the D-5 and the 450 might be the same beast. I run a Koolance 450 with a 120mm reservoir in one of my loops with no problems.

Actually, the divider in the res tube is to stop cyclonic funnels from forming in the res. Its doesn't remove bubbles at all.

Sorry about my wording. Nothing actually removes bubbles, they will remove themselves. That is the purpose of having a reservoir, as long as you do not fill it completely full bubbles will rise to the top and dissipate.
