Pump Questions

Postby Pickleweasel » Wed Nov 23, 2011 1:24 pm

Hello I am looking to add water cooling to my PC. This would be my first build, but I have a pretty good understanding of what I need except for the pump. I want to cool using two gpu-220's and two cpu-370's. My case would fit a 3x 120mm radiator well. What pump / reservoir would be best to handle cooling these? Also what would be your suggested loop? I like the 5.25'' bay mounted pump + reservoirs combos but would I need one pump? two pumps? 1u or 2u reservoir? Any help suggestions would be great.

Thanks in advance for any responses to my queries!!!

For your scenario a single bay single pump would be sufficient such as the RP-1200.

Going overboard with dual pumps for redundancy and other benefits doesn't hurt anything but your wallet. A RP-452X2 with 2 pumps of course would be good :).

Two CPU 370s? What you going to use two if them for I'm just curious.

My motherboard is an Asus L1N64-WS (dual socket). I want to cool my current rigs CPU's and GPU's to get familiar with water cooling and then do a full watercooled setup with the next rig I build.
