Need help with 452 1.3v drivebay res.

Postby v3teran » Wed Jul 16, 2014 12:16 pm

Im finding it hard to bleed all the air out of this, whenever i watch the bubbles come back around into the res they instantly get sucked back into the loop again!
Any ideas on how to get it to work? Im using one pump on the left hand side looking at the res from the front. I have also got the acrylic piece and serial link, can i use the acrylic piece with one pump as i heard it makes improvements?

Any help is appreciated.

What I did to get all the air out is disconnect the hose that is going to the IN inlet and blow into the res. After a bit the flow should start moving, make sure you have a cup with the other hose to drain from. It sounds a bit odd to do something like this but with the 452 it seems like an easy way. It might work for you but its worth a shot, this method gets liquid into the pump and starts the flow thus getting all the air out. It's easier to do with quick disconnects cause once it starts flowing you can turn the PC off and reconnect and turn the PC back on.

Tilt it backwards so the res is pointing strait up. Open the front plug and fill/prime with it pointing up.

If the air pocket is in the radiator then they will have a much more difficult time getting it out.
