Problems with the No-Spill Shutoff, Female

Postby Actarus » Tue Feb 16, 2010 1:15 am

VL3N-F13-19S

Hi, I am new here, and I am a little bit frustrated about the non responsive behavior of the technical support of Koolance, as I have written several Emails with questions and getting no answer at all even after several weeks...

Does anyone also had problems with the No-Spill Shutoff, Female VL3N-F13-19S which don't fit correctly on the male part and which are impossible to turn completely to the end hole even with big force?

Thanks for your help

Regards

If you are sure you have a proper matching mate for it (which should be: http://www.koolance.com/water-cooling/product_info.php?product_id=885) then I would say either the O-ring has rolled up in there making it not fit, or there was a manufacturing defect. I don't know if these are hand-tested at the factory to ensure they fit correctly.

I meant he had a bad one, not the whole run wouldn't fit...

I installed one and it caught on the male QDC o-ring and made it almost impossible to turn. It was not apparent that was the problem until I leak tested and it failed. I replaced the o-ring and noticed that it went on and turned a lot easier. I have not had a problem since.

Thanks at all for the help, In fact I have bought 16 female and male and there are 3 female which do not work at all, even after having checked the O-ring... Seems that I have to return them for an RMA.
Thanks again.
