2 Gtx-590

I am running a HAFX case

I have the following parts already
Pump
PMP-450

RES
RP-452X2

Blocks
CPU-370
2 VID-NX590

Radiators
HX-CU1020VS
HX-CU420V

I think i need more rad But not sure how much!
I will be overclocking the vid cards once i can keep them cool
Thanks for the help all

With proper fans on those radiators you should already have enough cooling power with those radiators if they were single GPU video cards. Since you essentially have 1 CPU + 4 GPUs you probably just need to add something like another 120/140mm rad or replace the current 120 rad with a 2x120/140mm rad if there is mounting room.

A better way to judge would be to post your current temperatures with your current clocking. Ambient temperature has a huge effect aswell. My apartment my ambient temperature was horribly high. I just finished unpacking a part of my office in my new home and my computer run almost 5-6'c colder.

Hi,

I am currently running a i7 990x (koolance 370 block) and two 590s (evga hydro copper blocks) all at stock on a single HX-CU1020VS.

At stock it is holding its own for now with an "in case" ambient of about 22C. When running Heaven, 3DMark, Nvidia Endless City, etc CPU and GPUs sit between 50C and 55C. With my Fans (FAN-12025MBK) running at 60% through the controller (TMS-200) my coolant temperature holds steady at about 42C.

I will be adding a second HX-CU1020VS before I do any over clocking or folding@home again and definitely before next summer. My coolant, CPU and GPUs run cooler for my normal work load on this system for now. I'm playing it safe till I get that second rad in :)

I am running all this in a HAF X case as well.

Hope that gives you an idea of what one person with a similar setup is going to do :)

A question I have from this is, assuming koolance parts (tubing, res, coolant, etc), what is a safe max temp to have the coolant running at? I note that in the TMS-200 software the defaults for "alarm" is 55C and the defaults for "shutdown" are 58C.

Thanks!

From my experiance the alarm temp and the shutdown temp seem about right if thats water temp that would make the cpu running about 68c assuming the amb temp is 22
and your deltas hold at that temp as more heat is introduced it will be harder to expell that heat.

Well I keep the house around 21c mind you temps are on air
CPU 4.5 ghz
Idle 50c
Full load 73c

Graphics stock
Idle 58c
Full load 81c

I want to make sure I have enough overhead to cover up to 32c without downing my clocks
Thanks for the reply I was pretty close then.
Here is a pic of the case to give an idea of the setup

I love this cooler great temps no matter how hard you clock I ha e had it at 4.8 before I ran into temp issues but still I might be under raded to keep temps online oced on the CPU and gfx cards
